Scooter Answers strives to provide information to people who are considering buying a scooter. Our founder, ScooterGirl, couldn’t find the answers to her questions anywhere online, and she wanted a central place to share information about scooters with the public.
Our writers:
ScooterGirl has been riding scooters since November 2007, when her husband decided to buy a scooter in order to save money on gasoline. She became addicted immediately and had her own scooter within a month. She started riding on a Genuine Buddy 50 and soon upgraded to a Kymco People S 200. She enjoys going on medium-length rides with her husband or with local scooter groups.
TheOldGuy has been on two wheels since 1967, because it’s something he was Meant To Do. He started on 90cc bikes and worked his way up, managing not to be killed or crippled along the way. He’s repaired bikes for a living, and ridden in sun, wind, rain, hail, and sleet. Though he hasn’t been on as many scooters as motorcycles, most two-wheeled experience is applicable to either or both. If anyone can benefit from hearing about 40 years of lessons learned, he’s happy to be of assistance.
